Louisiana Health Plan – Offers health insurance coverage to individuals who are unable to purchase an individual health insurance policy because they have pre-existing health conditions.
Louisiana Children’s Health Insurance Plan (LaCHIP) - LaCHIP offers low cost or no cost health care plans for uninsured Louisiana children up to age 19. Eligibility is based on family size and income.
Louisiana Senior Health Insurance Information Program – Provides seniors free counseling about Medicare, including the new Part D prescription drug benefit, or Medigap coverage.
Louisiana Medicaid Agency - Medicaid is a state/federal program that pays for medical and long-term care services for low-income pregnant women, children, certain people on Medicare, disabled individuals and nursing home residents. These individuals must meet certain income and other requirements.
